Labor Day Activity Information

Detroit Parade

This year SEIU is marching in a leadership position in the annual Detroit Labor Day Parade. Our recent victories are the first step in a movement that will give every worker in this city $15 and a union.

Bring your family and kids to march proudly for what we’ve done and what we’re going to do next! Be on the news to show your union spirit and meet SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry and our special guest, candidate for Governor, Gretchen Whitmer! Join us for the fun afterwards where we’ll have a back-to-school backpack giveaway, free haircuts, bounce house and fun for kids, and barbecue!

Address: 2211 E Jefferson, Detroit MI 48207
Date and Time: September 3rd at 6:30 AM

Details (Parking/Need To Know): We’ll have transportation to get us over there as a group so park at Chene Park across the street. Wear your SEIU gear!
