This is a Thank You received at Local 517M from SEIU Local 199 in Iowa.  After the floods in Iowa, the 517M Executive Board voted to donate to the Local 199 Disaster Relief Fund.

The members of the SEIU Local 199 Executive Board want to thank you, your leaders and members for your generous contribution to our Disaster Relief Fund in Iowa.

31 SEIU families affected by floods have received assistance thanks to you. I’ve enclosed a small sample of some of the comments from cards we’ve received from those families. As you can see – our members say it better than any of us could.

Many life lessons were learned . . . ones that can not be taught from a textbook: ones that will stay with my children for their lifetime.
